Our route takes us through the rugged periphery of Sorabora Lake, an engineering marvel dating back to the 2nd century BC. Navigating the massive stone sluice gates—reputedly built by the "Giants" of King Gemunu’s army—provides a humbling perspective on ancient grit. The final leg leads us deep into Dambana, the ancestral stronghold of the indigenous Vedda people. Here, you will walk the jungle with the island’s original hunters, witnessing the raw energy of the Kirikoraha ritual dance and exploring the tribal museum to understand a way of life that has remained unchanged for millennia.
